In 2022, we will be adding a division just for adopters of Tennessee rescue horses. If you have an adopted horse and would like to show off your equine companion while having some fun, this division is for you. You can compete in as many classes as you like. In hand or under saddle. Let's show just what a rescue horse is capable of. ​
THE OPEN RESCUE CLASS WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING:
ONLY HORSES THAT HAVE BEEN ADOPTED FROM A RESCUE MAY COMPETE.
PROOF OF ADOPTION WILL BE REQUIRED. (This can consist of your adoption contract or letter from rescue confirming)
PROOF OF A NEGATIVE COGGINS IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.
​Fee's are non refundable unless the event gets canceled. 

CLASS FEES WILL BE: 
Early registration: $10 per single class  or  2/$20  or  5/$40
Day of event: $15  per class  or  2/$25  or  5/$60

EXTRA: Minors must wear a helmet when riding. Proper attire such as but not limited to: boots, belts, hats, button down shirts, coats, etc. should be worn. Chinks or chaps may be worn as well. No sneakers, tank tops, t-shirts. No tie downs allowed. No draw reins. Bits can and will be inspected by the judges or any R4R official. Horses can be shown two handed in a snaffle bit, regardless of horse age. If you show your horse in a shanked bit (western) then the horse must be shown one handed. Gait enhancing, chains, straps and weighted horse shoes are prohibited. Blunt spurs may be worn, but excessive use will be penalized. Same with crops. No mechanical hackamores, no gag bits. Bosals may be used with a traditional mecate rein and ridden with two hands. You may not ride in a halter, except in the Freestyle Division.
 
Eliminations:
Going off course. Exceeding the number of faults allowed. Fall of horse or trainer. Lameness or injury. Dangerous or out of control behavior. The horse’s welfare is always the number one concern.


Judges:  Judges have the final call on all outcomes. The Judge's decree is final.
